AOW 10- The Best Map of the Moon Ever

  Recently being released, scientists have worked together to make the highest resolution topographic map of the mood by using the observations taken from NASA’s LRO spacecraft. This new map is highly detailed and covers 98.2 percent of the moon. This map allows for scientists to determine slopes of terrains, how the crust has deformed, investigate volcanic features, and plan for human missions. Scientist Mark Robinson states, "I could not be more pleased with the quality of the map – it’s phenomenal! The richness of detail should inspire lunar geologists around the world for years to come."
